KIRKBY MOVE REJECTED

I would love to share Davek's optimism, but this is Everton. Good things don't happen.

I think tonight, Gentlemen, we are all losers.

Three years wasted.

i cant see it that there aren't other plans and deals that have been drawn up, but with the exclusivity deal the club had their hands tied and couldn't even look at them 'officially or unofficially'. there's a lot ahead for EFC at the moment and it will only be now that dk has been turned down that we will find out about these for certain.

KEIOC plans and Bestway and any others that have been knocking round on the internet could well have been looked into by a company employed by EFC and we will find out if they are actually viable or not.

i reckon in the next few weeks there will be Everton stadiums on every bit of available ground in the city, tom dick and harry will have produced plans and ideas, as will their uncle tom cobbley. we can only wait and see what comes out in the next few days/weeks really and hope that it will be something that will have us all saying as one "thank feck dk got rejected", i think the exclusivity deal that tied the clubs hands was one of the biggest mistakes in the whole saga.

Ah, the "exclusivity deal"....

Behave reidy, we've been actively looking for a new ground for over 10 years.

Even if there are any viable sites out there, you really think it will be days/weeks before ANY sort of progress is made? It's taken us 3 years to get to this stage of DK, and moving to a new stadium would hardly have been imminent even if it was passed.

in the tme this has been going on though, the official line is that we couldn't look. now it's over we'll find out if we have been or not.

We've been looking long before the Kirkby 2 deal (Kirkby 1 being the golf course)

We know Liverpool, we know whats available. The exclusivity deal didn't make any difference what so ever. That being lifted wont bring a load of new plans to the surface.

Anyway, its pretty trivial going over all old ground. This boat has sailed and we're back to square one.
