Been in Australia you dont hear much soccer news and all you hear is about the A-League and the big teams like Man U & Liverpool so i have to go on the internet to get all my info and i dont really get whats going on with the Stadium talk ATM if some one could fill me in it would be great.

Just read this

http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/e...hread-all-kirkby-stadium-discussion-here.html

that should give you an idea about what's happening.:lol::lol:

Ohk thanks.

So i take it we want i new stadium witch we couldnt pay for in time so i that didnt work out then we wanted to build it in Kirkby but were not? We have also made asked Liverpool to share a ground with Liverpool but they said no (Thank god)? Is that right?

And whats those images have to do with that best little spainard posterd?

I got no idea mate I'm not wasting my time reading that whole thread. All I know is that I want us to get a new stadium, because I belive it will be a key to investment, (I don't care where chances are I'll never get to watch everton live) and for kenwright to sell to someone willing to invest the necessary amount of money to get us into the champions league and challenging for trophies.

As for the pictures I belive it was a proposed stadium but for one way or the other it didn't happen but that happened before my time really so don't take my word for it.

Btw have you noticed how nearly all the set pieces in the a league are better then ours, lol.

Just look at stuff like this:

Makes me feel better anyway.

The loop was always a "red haddock" by LCC to spoil the vote. Taking that piece of machiavelian mischief away from the loop's introduction into the debate, the issues with it were:

Whatever figure you believed (55,00 or 35,000) it could not be expanded beyond that. It would be landlocked forever. My ambition is for Everton to have the room to grow, but think small time like some.

The second issue was the technical issues around access, which would have costs a mint, and nobody was saying who was paying.

I don't begrudge Bestway. I think that what they effectively wanted was a land swop, given up "poor value" land for better value land. It was worth their while to big up the loop and spend the money because they knew they'd get it back in the future.

Because a stadia has a "wow" factor doesn't make it world class. It just makes it look pretty, but the CAD design for the loop is an unmitigated disaster. A large over hanging shadow on a lifeless bowl?

Oh, but that's OK, its within the city limits, so magically it looks great. Talk about the emperors new clothes.:lol::lol:

Fair enough mate, I did raise some of those points earlier.

Alright, alright. Stop dashing my walk into town for a bevvy fantasies.

Can we just not take over the Echo arena? It only holds 10k but were going to be [Poor language removed] anyway and the bevvying will be sensational.
