Bad toilets is the worst ever argument. I mean, how much exactly would it cost to fix those and hire someone to keep them clean?

Everton play football too you know, you can comment on the team and its games and stuff instead of being a bad weirdo that manifests from the fog to post stadium stuff.

You tedious bore, have you seen the size of the bogs in Goodison.

Let's stay still and suffocate because some bad online stalker who doesn't go the game anyway enjoys his reindeer steak more.

I might be a bit slow here, cant be arsed reading the thread to see if its already been mentioned, but Gordon Brown has asked for a rethink on the decision against Kirkby...its in the Skelmersdale Champion and Advertiser...

Prime Minister Gordon Brown sparks confusion in Skelmersdale by backing Kirkby stadium scheme

Dec 10 2009 by Michael Byrne, Skelmersdale Advertiser
A SKELMERSDALE campaigner fears Gordon Brown’s statements backing Everton’s move to Kirkby has increased residents’ confusion over what is happening with the town.
Two weeks ago communities secretary John Denham rejected the Tesco/Everton project for Kirkby claiming it would take business away from other local town centres.
But now Gordon Brown has backed a revised scheme to see the stadium built in time for England to host the world cup.
West Lancashire Council criticised the original Kirkby scheme saying it would have a detrimental effect on the Skelmersdale Vision project which aims to regenerate the town.
Hazel Scully and her colleagues have always always supported moves to regenerate the town centre.
But they have lobbyed the council over parts the scheme which will lead to the demolition of about 180 homes in Firbeck and Findon.
She said: “This move by Gordon Brown will only increase people’s confusion over what is happening.
“They have asked me what this will mean but I can’t give them an answer.
North West minister Phil Woolas said: “The government is committed to the regeneration of both Kirkby and Skelmersdale and we will be working behind the scenes with all parties to see if we can take forward a Plan B.
West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said: “This is good news for Kirkby.ŠŠIŠhaveŠalways supported the regeneration of Kirkby alongside the redevelopment of Skelmersdale. I believe there should be a more proportional development for the town.”

Nice one lad, you'll get my vote.

Woolas has stated the Brown intervention was not to resurrect the stadium element. I'd say the Skem newspaper is a bit behind the curve...despite the date on the story.

OK, let's build a new stadium because that's the only way to get better bogs!

(Sounds completely ridiculous, but if you think that's sane, hey, who am I to argue?).

Ridiculous is the way you pop up to contribute absolutely nothing worth having about Everton on this forum you peculiar, peculiar creature.

You finishing clubbing innocent baby seals for the day you massive bulb?

My knowledge of every inch of Liverpool is lacking, so I am not capable of picking the absolute perfect site for the new stadium, I am sure an inner boundaries site can be found, free of houses, with world beating transport links and zero opposition in a heart beat, but I honestly do not know Liverpool by every square inch. Can any one else pinpoint the perfect location (Please do not try to suggest Stanley park, they have first dibs and even they do not have the cash to do it alone) so somewhere where a retail partner or two that can chip in would be a big help - that is if you want to see investment on the pitch at the same time.

Don't have the report to hand but 35 sites have been located and dismissed within the so called hallowed boundaries of the city of liverpool. the only way for Everton to get a site within the city is to re-visit each of those sites with a different set of assumptions, and of course hand in hand with a partner.

If it could have been done "within a heart beat (done in red deliverately) it would have been done. We wouldn't be talking about Kirkby, and we'd be ready to move into our new home next season.

As it is, in the real world, we have a stadia not fit for purpose.

The only way that GP can be re-built is as part of a regeneration plan for the Walton area. If that ain't happening, you can forget about GP ever being re-built.

Dismissed by a board already set on going to Kirkby....

[throws snowball]

pity that when I finally crawled my way up to a thousand posts, it was such a childish effort :D

Count yourself lucky, mine came and went and I didn't even notice it until I looked today. And no, the survey I believe before Kirkby became a firm idea, or some would say that htey simply nicked the rs's assessment and came to the same conclusion.

Anyway, without an investment partner nothing is going to happen.
