Hello there.

LOOP FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS – News Archive – News – evertonfc.com – The Official Website of Everton Football Club

Well, isn't this news all a bit rum.

Lets wait and see before we cast opinion/assertions.

Yeah, but if you actually read the words, he says that the footprint inside the loop can only accommodate 35,000, and to get a 55,000 capacity you would need to bridge the road.

Bestway and HOK Sports proposal was to put a 55,000 seater stadium by bridging the road.

No difference in content, just context, I think the official word for it is spin :P

SDG bloke says it would cost too much, Bestway bloke said, don't worry about that, we'll give you the stadium for roughly what you're paying for the Kirkby jobbie... still, academic now, we fcuked them off, all in the past

You've just dashed my little fantasy of a pre match bevvy in the Ship & Mitre.

Then meeting up with micknick from the Lisbon on the way up to the ground.

Just look at stuff like this:

Makes me feel better anyway.

the stadium on the news and dash is the kirkby crate, the one in the post above was the loop proposal which as has been said would bridge the road, i think thats the flashest looking proposal since kings dock.

wether or not it is actually viable is another matter, that needs further examination, but didnt they spend a vast amount putting this together.

an i bet 99% of you will look at that plan view and think "wembley", 'arl wembley with it's fantastic oval roof, do the roof right and the noise will scare the crap out of the opposition.

I think they'd need to do something with the external rendering to stop it looking quite so much like something out of Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, but yes, they spent a shed load on the practicalities - HOK report, discussion with LCC and Highways Agency, Structs Engineers etc etc (leaving about £3.50 for the CAD rendering) :D

Felt sorry for them at the time, they really seemed up for it, and went out on a limb

Always had a thing for the loop plan, one of the reasons being the view from Everton brow...that's the blue bestway building right in the middle if I'm not mistaken.

So it's settled then? The loop for boss drinking, boss views of it from Everton brow, and generall bossness?
