The decision, which will be spelt out later tomorrow took regional MPs and ministers by surprise. Most had assumed that the jobs and investment potential would, when it came to the crunch, outweigh shopping policy.
Knowsley North and Sefton East MP George Howarth said: "I deeply regret this decision in a time of significant economic challenge to the whole of Merseyside during a recession."

Get it right up yer you chinless cnut. You could give a flying one about other jobs being lost elsewhere.

Indeed.

One thing i woud say, though, is that I hope those bastards at Tesco dont fcuk Kirkby off altogther now. They were telling everyone about how they'd transform Kirkby. Well let them stick by that town and build a massive superstore. They have all that land now. I hope to fcuk they dont just bank it and [Poor language removed] leaving the place high and dry.

I reckon Tesco will suddenly find they have other things to fry.

As for the club I await with something approaching belwilderment as to what the OS will say and BK. Roll on, lets hear it BK.

So, what now then?
,

...a slow lingering death where nobody is going to give us £200m to develop a stadium, or invest in the team, where we can't squeeze more revenue out of Goodison, and where we still have 4,000 obstructed views.

As phyric a victory as there can be.
