I value the forum, it has some dizzying highs, terrifying lows, and creamy middles. There's a few divs but in the main a lot of good eggs, spoonful of humour helps the medicine I reckon. We're all gonna need one another over the next 6 months, and the club could need us as one once again.

What I find odd is that the narrative has been so easily twisted by those that give clarkson a position to unleash his bile from are the exact same that have slung mud at a lady who runs a charity. Then the whataboutery, "ah well, she only lets fully paid up card carrying folk of outstanding black hues through the front door" then "but but but shes of Caribbean heritage and has appropriated African tribes names", its worrying the character assassination of a lady who appears to want to help victims of domestic abuse she suggests have been unsupported previously based on systemic racism is cast as both enemy and criminal. Then 'lady' hussey crawls out to apologise on the day Harry and Megs stick the boot in via their show to the trio of the 'king', the 'king' to be, and dear old Liz. Guess who's pandering to the whims of the aristocracy... none other than the exact same media channels that push clarkson and slung the mud at Sistah Space.

There are always some topics that make normally good rational posters irrational.
For example on the world cups thread there are posters who hate the French and particularly the president.
They call the French team monkeys who surrender ffs. Racist and they seem to get away with it.

Is Macron not polling at about 36% approval rating? (I did look that up before posting) Even most the French don’t like him. From a fairly uninformed Brit perspective the only thing he seems to have done is stop a far right government and is largely elected by default on account of not being a Nazi. Seems to position himself as centrist but is by and large centre right. Some of his photo shoots and PR opportunities are very very cringe. Mbappe clearly wanted nothing to do with him.

You live there right? I am interested to know what domestic/ international policies are popular with yourself or the wider electorate.

Marlene has pushed the race card, and stoked division all to suit her business, to pay for her holidays etc and in doing so has caused all kinds of problems. The push back from the Marlenes of this world, just make things more difficult for us as they are race agitators, not healers. If you are white, which I assume that you are then I'd suggest that your ire or efforts to help us are misplaced . Our communities don't benefit from having Marlene types dividing people as those with prejudice just use these things to add fuel to the fire.

This was never a situation about race. Marlene doesn't represent the community. She has engineered this as she is a race baiting grifter and those supporting her are not helping us as if I am being frank, you won't feel the push back. You seemingly will not allow yourself to understand the things that I am saying because the most important thing in this moment is your hatred of the estblishment and Royals. If you were stood in my shoes and saw how these people and their agendas impact those around you, your loved ones you might be inclined to let go of your hate and to view the sitaution objectively.

What Jeremy Clarkson says is far worse than anything you accuse Fugozi of. And what you accuse Fugozi is clearly motivated my a hatred of her, as it lacks any nuance.

I am an anti-racist. That is my motivation. Her crime, is to have her Britishness called into question 17 times after telling someone in authority she was from Hackney. I think that's unacceptable.

You clearly think that makes me an awful person, an opinion you are entitled to. Objectively though, what Clarkson said-that he wanted to strip a woman naked, and have them assaulted by gangs of men, is far worse than anything Fugozi has said. It's as simple as that.

Macron is no centrist. His economic policies are right wing free market capitalist. Great admirer of the British and American model.
The French electorate were conned and fell for it. They are opposed to his reforms now, having already sold off government interests in some large companies, introduced economies and hence cut backs in public services. Badly felt in our rural département.
He did not prevent a right wing government. They got 80 seats in parliament, far far short of anything like a majority.
I am not a French national hence I cannot vote in presidential or parliamentary élections. Since Brexit I can't even vote in local elections.
The député ( mp) for my region is of the coalition of the left. She replaced a centrist at the last election.

I dont think you are awful either. I just disagree with your take, which is perfectly normal.

FWIW I dont support everything Fugozi does either. The charitable sector is filled with mismanagement, and at times fraud. From experience, it's worse than either the private or public sector than that. So when you highlight stuff around the charity, if it's true, I'm wholly on board with your criticisms.

But we have a different interpretation of the events of that day.

He’s a bully , both in print and when he punched a junior producer who didn’t rush and jump to get him his hot food . The bloke’s also a misogynist and it seems those of all political colour, many right wing pundits and even his own daughter Can see it however he does have his own ‘particular’ support group . Colour me Unsurprised you’re in it .
