….i think KDH has been a terrific signing, he has Doucoure’s energy but has a different level of quality in possession. He linked particularly well with Grealish, the blend of two footballers on the same wavelength. As somebody who wasn’t overly keen on the transfer, what’s surprised me most is his attitude, he certainly falls into my category of a footballer ‘who plays like it matters’.

…..clearly if you have ambition to play international football and maybe take part in major tournaments. You see it in lots of other sports too.

I'd want to play in a tournament if it was me, if there's an ancestral lineage I'm sure its possible to feel a connection to more than one nation. It's a personal choice for him I suppose, hopefully it pays off

Your thinking sounds similar to KDH but plenty of others are happy to switch allegiance to play international football. Cricket is similar given the accents and background to many England players.
If you qualify for somebody else and unlikely to get an England call-up, it’s perfectly understandable why some go for it.
