Precisely. It amazes me how few posters actually realise how bad he is as a 10 and how hes only actually useful when moved deeper.

Dibling should be 10 or Alcaraz.

I agree with you completely on the first point, but not the second - KDH is absolutely at his best as a left sided 8, but on the other side of Garner surely the answer is a right sided 8, not a 10 at all. It won’t be Dibling, it could be Charly, but ideally will be someone else who also has more of a box to box profile, like Armstrong or Rohl.

The 10 is dead, died years ago - bring on the 6 and two 8s!

Yeah mostly agree - George and Ndiaye either side of the centre forward is v exciting isn’t it? Wide men who can equally become inside forwards and can actually score!

On form I think the midfield should be Garner 6, KDH 8, Iroegbunam 8. I think they’ve been our three best midfielders this season.

Personally I like Alcaraz, I think he makes stuff happen, he doesn’t always play well from the start but he gives us another goal threat and is a great bench option so wouldn’t mind seeing him switched with Iroegbunam for certain games. Rohl to give KDH a break from time to time, Armstrong eventually to compete with Garner at 6.

Long term is like to see us move on Gueye and have that group of 6 midfielders. Club needs to decide if it fully trusts Alcaraz and Iroegbunam, if not then move them Ona nd get in players it does trust.

If we could just say farewell to No10, a number that causes so many debates. We have 3 very decent players in the centre, each one has the ability to chop and change with the other, we would save so much time typing if we lost the percieved position behind that number..

In October he wanted KDH sold, he now goes full davek and refuses to acknowledge it.

He also, somehow, keeps advocating Alcaraz in the team when Alcaraz's biggest strength is running with the ball in a straight line and giving it back to the opposition.

It used to be that Zat had a weird fetish about young players and all his posts were about that, nowadays (presumably after his hard drives were checked) they're all essentially different variations of "Moyes is terrible, Alcaraz is great"

Yeah I think Armstrong can be a great 6 too one day, tho part of me wonders if we need to sell one of our 8s in summer - maybe Tim - and get in an extra 6 for a bit more squad balance. They can be backup to Garner in some games or allow him to play as an 8 in others. I think Andre at Wolves is still on a free in summer? That kind of player would really complete those midfield options. I’d be letting Gana go personally. He’s been great, but I think we’re moving on from him.

If its me i'd just have a main 3 of:
KDH
Garner
Armstrong

Then i'd have Iroegbunam as an option to bring on when we need a tackle machine.

I'd move on Rohl (injury prone) and Gana (age).

In the 10 we have Alcaraz and Dibling as the options. If needed Alcaraz can also drop back to make a 6th centre mid and Dibling can move wide if needed.

Id not do anything else in midfield this summer...
