I think our most complete midfield performance this season was Rohl, Garner Armstrong at Villa.Garner-KDH-Armstrong/Rohl every day of the week for me. Gana can stay on the bench where he can't cause any problems.
I agree, but I also think there was a v particular tactical reason for that around how central Villa play and we wanted as much legs in midfield to cover those spaces defensively.I think our most complete midfield performance this season was Rohl, Garner Armstrong at Villa.
Spot onI agree, but I also think there was a v particular tactical reason for that around how central Villa play and we wanted as much legs in midfield to cover those spaces defensively.
Zat being Zat.It's a confusing world...
Exactamundo. There should be no one singular 'midfield three' that fits for every single scenario. Moyes didnt have much choice for that Villa game yet happened to stumble upon a system that worked well for that situation.I agree, but I also think there was a v particular tactical reason for that around how central Villa play and we wanted as much legs in midfield to cover those spaces defensively.
I don't even know how this thread can have such debates on the player.
agreed but i think KDH has to start.I think our most complete midfield performance this season was Rohl, Garner Armstrong at Villa.
I am hoping he is able to link up with Illy or George as well as he linked up with Jack?
Oh definitelyagreed but i think KDH has to start.
That is missing the point. I said specifically through balls. Pass. You can create chances with your movement which is what Dewy does. He is very inconsistent with his through ball.He created 3 chances scored and got an assist.
It really hasn't got the recognition it deserves, like when Shawshank was first released.Look this was probably the best post of all time. Just think you need to see it.
Isn’t that literally the only thing Gana does? Run around constantly. The arguments for him making the starting line-up every game are shaky to say the least. We had far more composure with the ball which is what we need. If Hama doesn’t have the legs to cover the ground defensively then I’m not sure what else he offers.I agree, but I also think there was a v particular tactical reason for that around how central Villa play and we wanted as much legs in midfield to cover those spaces defensively.
Was excited to see more of Rohl but I guess we have an embarrassment of riches these daysI think our most complete midfield performance this season was Rohl, Garner Armstrong at Villa.
