I agree, but I also think there was a v particular tactical reason for that around how central Villa play and we wanted as much legs in midfield to cover those spaces defensively.

Grealish and kdh seemed to have a particularly good understanding on the pitch (that kdh run in behind the channel with a Grealish through ball was a particularly good move) but also good techno players generally tend to work well together, of which kdh and George both are, and what we have lacked for a while with the dynamic axis of McNeil-Doucoure-Harrison

That is missing the point. I said specifically through balls. Pass. You can create chances with your movement which is what Dewy does. He is very inconsistent with his through ball.

Isn’t that literally the only thing Gana does? Run around constantly. The arguments for him making the starting line-up every game are shaky to say the least. We had far more composure with the ball which is what we need. If Hama doesn’t have the legs to cover the ground defensively then I’m not sure what else he offers.
