2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

I agree, but I also think there was a v particular tactical reason for that around how central Villa play and we wanted as much legs in midfield to cover those spaces defensively.
Exactamundo. There should be no one singular 'midfield three' that fits for every single scenario. Moyes didnt have much choice for that Villa game yet happened to stumble upon a system that worked well for that situation.

I am hoping he is able to link up with Illy or George as well as he linked up with Jack?

He’ll be used to training with George so hopefully

Grealish and kdh seemed to have a particularly good understanding on the pitch (that kdh run in behind the channel with a Grealish through ball was a particularly good move) but also good techno players generally tend to work well together, of which kdh and George both are, and what we have lacked for a while with the dynamic axis of McNeil-Doucoure-Harrison

Isn’t that literally the only thing Gana does? Run around constantly. The arguments for him making the starting line-up every game are shaky to say the least. We had far more composure with the ball which is what we need. If Hama doesn’t have the legs to cover the ground defensively then I’m not sure what else he offers.
