If we do get Mata he could really help dowell. Mata is so far removed from your normal modern footballer massively intelligent individual who would hopefully help take dowell to the next level & then also possibly move aside in a few years in readiness for dowell to take his place.

Mixed half for me. Talent is clearly evident however drifted in and out of game (compared to say Barkley who was much more involved in that #10 role second half). Gave the ball away a couple of times but again not the worst thing in the world when playing in the final third.
His off the ball movement at times is really fantastic and showed a couple of touches of class, and a few great early through balls to Del.
genuinely excited to see this kid progress this year and I think he will get some first team minutes this season.
