….by a manager most fans are questioning whether he himself is good enough.

Thelwell’s remit this summer was to boost our attacking options on a very limited budget and he delivered three very decent options in Beto, Danjuma and Harrison.

I think he’d be well within his rights to question why all three were on the bench with the manager choosing to play one striker and one natural winger (probably the most defensive minded one too), against the worst team in the league at home.

Thelwell isn’t above questioning but that matchday squad he had a big hand in putting together, correctly deployed by the manager, should be winning that with relative ease.

Shame we couldn’t close on Jack Clark because he looks a decent prospect. Would have balanced the flanks nicely with McNeil Danjuma and Harrison. At least we’re looking in the right places now rather than flashing 70 mill for Zaha then panick buying Iwobi.

Also will give him credit and club for getting Branthwaite to a new deal
