let’s see who wins the battle for players
He wants players that be developed and sold on for a profit
Dyche wants more battle ready player, more so next year with the outgoings
With the 3 players staying another season, there is scope for Dyche to get what he wants (them) and Thelwell to make 3 more Chermiti type signings to develop behind them.
Doesnt have to cost a fortune, Chermit> £10-12.5mil while Nkounkou for example only cost pennies yet we could have sold him for €7.5mil if we didnt give the buy option to the french club.
Good points this mate... definitely going to be interesting to see what profile of player we bring in. I actually think it might be a case of needs must next season, and we go for what Dyche thinks he needs.
That wouldnt make sense...theres far too many players with only 1 year on their deals so if were solely plugging gaps we will be screwed next year.
I didn’t realise he signed Tarks and McNeil.
Agree on those 2, and Gana but Onana and Garner I think the jury is still out and Young has been a liability the majority of the time he plays.
He signed 50mil pounds worth of strikers last year and neither of those get a game in a team that scored one of the least amount of goals in the league.
Lets hope he has a good summer.
Tarkowski, McNeil, Garner, Chermiti all seem like good buys to me.
Onana whether loved or hated everyone can se we signed him for £33mil and is now being touted around by the media at £50/60mil.
The poor signings e.g Beto and Maupay were made under financial restrictions. Same with Young, Harrison and Danjuma short term moves.
