Nope. Cover for Pienaar anyone? God help us if he's overplayed and picks up a niggle.

umm, who was the last player we bought?

as another striker option, i'd love to see if javier hernandez is available for a loan at man utd, he's 4th choice now ffs, and they don't really play two up top like they use to. would be a quality moyes out of the blue signing

I'd have him as a back up striker, definitely over owen anyway. Wouldn't be bad to bring on against tired defenders, he's also not bad from crosses which suits our style of play...

I think people are missing the point of this transfer if it even comes off. We couldn't keep 2 players of Jelevics quality happy when we only play one striker. Doyle would be a good player to bring on if we are winning, keeping the opp stretched allowing Pienaar, Naismith, mirallas, Fellaini etc to drift into dangerous positions

I didn't realise Wolves paid so much for him. Being Irish I was happy enough when I heard the rumour, continuing the Irish contingent developing at Everton. However Wolves would want to be making quite a loss on that £9.5m for it to be worth it. Couple of million and he'll make a good squad player.

I cannot begin to imagine the amount of fuming on here if we signed Doyle. So for that reason I'm out.

Actually think he'd be ok as back up/a sub to send on to run around a bit to give Niki boy a rest when we're winning though. So long as we didn't spend over £2m anyway.

Would be a good addition to the squad. A swop with Anichebe and a few quid would be tidy business for both clubs.

Honestly, I'd rather have Anichebe. More of a goal threat bizarrely.

Doyle really is a bit... well, crap. Very little quality, just a high work rate. If we ever played him up top alone we'd be relying on midfield for goals.
