KENWRIGHT OUT???

We all knew no one was coming. The media keeps giving us a bone to believe otherwise. Moyes said only loans and how many threads have been started on this site and others expecting otherwise. No use blaming Kenwright be glad he's here, loves our team and keeps our heads above water. The time will come when some so called massive clubs will be another Leeds United.

In another words be thankful for what you have because the grass isn't always greener on the other side
.

Portsmouth and West Ham fans would probably agree.

You know why I dont believe that? - If any investor seriously wanted to take over the club, and was rebuffed. It would take one phone call to the Liverpool Echo, Steve Morgan style to force Kenwrights hand.

At the moment, we have absolutely no chance of being takeover. Why? Simple. Uncertainty. Its one factor investors dont like, and with our ground situation - we have that in abundance.

So you know when Holger Heims is saying "We have looked before at some European clubs to see if the numbers added up, and now we are doing the same with Chelsea" - How can they see if numbers add up at Everton?

Hasn't it been documented that he turned down Randy Lerner?

I'm pretty sure he has dismissed a number of enquires because he feels that they dont aren't into the club like he is.

How can we continue with him in charge? Even you have to admit that we will not be able to compete if he is in charge in the next season or 2.

Let's not get greedy, fellows.

We're not doing all that bad.

Villa has been sensational, but I don't really believe they challenger material...at least not yet.

However they almost buried Arsenal by now, for that 4th spot.

Still we're doing better than I expected at the start of the season. I thought top ten, then 7/8 and we're 6th, by a mile away from 7th.

The teams I thought would be challenging us are behaving poorly (spurs, pompey, citeh and rovers).

I have to say that BK and Moyes shouldn't be removed from the picture. I think we should hire someone who can help them to step forward. Someone who knows the international market and someone who can look inside the club and country for new players. And probably an assistant coach who can bring something new to process.

I think we have a lot, mate. We're not battling against relegation, as we haven't been for a long time. But my memory doesn't come short and I still remember the dark days.

We've won respect without having to sell our soul. And for that, I thank Bill and David big time.

Good shout (y)

Nevermind Newcastle, I'm glad we're not Leeds. They spent too much money and paid the price. Not sure anyone else is aware of that cautionary tale. Cheers Bill...for...you know...not doing a Leeds.

Quite right. I just think back to the dark dark Walker days and feel nothing but pride and slow burning excitement.

Top post.

Rob Elstone confirmed that the club is not for sale at the public inquiry.

Portsmouth have done nothing but improve since their takeover.

League 1 football is what its all about.

The sooner Bill spends money he doesn't have the better.

I can go and stay with Jed's brother and cheers on the mighty mighty Leeds as they chase promotion to the Championship.

Is this the same Portsmouth that have no money to spend?

The same Portsmouth that are sitting 15th?

or the same Portsmouth that have lost 5 out of their last 6 matches in the league? (we have only lost 6 all feckin season)

just so I am not too confused?

Granted they won the FA cup last year, BUT, we nearly won the Carling, and had far and above the best form in the UEFA. I guess with that type of logic we have already won the league.

No, i think its the same Portsmouth that has just sold its best 2 players, Diarra and Defoe, they dont stop improving them lids.

Not to mention any player they have of quality looking for a move away in the summer, Krajcar, Distin and Lauran and Campbells on a free.

There getting relegated with Boro nailed on.
