Transfer Rumour Kenny Tete

I think it looks bad if he chooses Fulham at this point tbh. We need to start to look like we aren’t a joke anymore.

The dilly dallying with Gana hasn’t impressed me either.
I think there have been a few weird decisions tbh. Still think, given the amount that would have needed to be done in the summer anyway, that not bringing in a winger in Jan was odd.

The deal structure for Alcaraz, which also means a bigger hit on PSR for this year than it had to be. The waiting on DCL when he is so, so bad anyway. Offering Doucoure a deal when he actually limits how we play. Not getting our transfer team in place for such a crazy window (even though it seems like what we've ended up with should be far more professional than before). Messing around with Gana when he is so vital to us. Taking their sweet time when we need about 10 players and seem to negotiate for one at a time. And seemingly being played in the Tete deal.

I'm going to give the new regime the benefit of the doubt, but it’s hard not to have the traditional Everton being a bit of a farce klaxon going off. I'm just hoping they'll get it right due to being more professional, and all our fears are based solely on historic Everton.

Already lives and settled in London, plays when fit for them, and have finished above us for last 3 seasons.

No big deal if he stays, certainly not worth heads falling off.

I imagie his wife/Family are very settled and loving life in London, so sometimes its much more about life.
Agree. But the issue is that we are trying to fill our full back issues with free transfers and it won't take long until we're at Coufal if we're not careful.

Yeah I get that mate, but I expect us to be talking to a few targets for each position all at the same time.

EDIT : I must be in the minority, but Coufal would not be the end of the world.

Wouldn't even blame him if he's stayed, his agent has played a blinder, we've been done by a few agents before haven't we, ahem, Mr Stretford. He got Everton to offer him a deal with, supposedly more money, then got Fulham to pay him more just to stay where he is bravo. Everton unhappy, Fulham kind of unhappy paying more than they wanted to for an older player, player, wife and family happy, big parish and not uprooting family from London, agent nice bonus.

Yes, plus he'll have had a chat with Iwobi who headed back to London after a spell with us, and seems to be more than happy with his decision.

I know we've got a lovely new stadium, but we're still miles off being an attractive proposition for PL players who are getting game time at the likes of Fulham. It's a bit of a catch 22 - we need better players to get us up the table, but we need to get up the table to attract better players. The answer is probably to buy from abroad and the Championship as much as possible, and to poach/coach youngsters. Brighton is still the model for a club in our position.
