the point I was trying to make Jal is a lot of people seem to think it's fine for JS to go to a so called bigger club for his personal ambitions but unfortunately this is why we are never likely to build a top class side here

Italian media reporting that Napoli have bid €20mill + valdifiori for Maksimovic, which is what Torino wanted. Assuming he is a Koulibaly replcement we may see some movement on this one soon if/when its completed.

I think the reason this one is a non starter is that both Everton and Chelsea disagree with Napolis valuation

Not sure about that, the fact that they have bid quite a bit for this defender says that they are preparing to let him go, much like our bid for Koulibaly in advance of Stones leaving.

I think it's more a case of people thinking we can improve the side with the money we'd get from the JS deal. He wasn't a £50m player last season, that's for sure.

Thats a decent offer...Napoli have a few CBs but only Koulibaly played most games i think due to injuries.

They could be looking for a more reliable partner for him but the president came out already and said that he wouldnt expect Kalidou to have the same concentration level if he stayed. So seems certain to move.
