judge us at the end of the transfer window – not now

A cautionary tale.

Can’t wait for us to be excited only to sell Pickford, Gordon and DCL before the windows, and them to roll out…

“Remember that week around the Chelsea game? That excitement? We’ve had some good times”

`These signing have been solid if unspectacular additions to the squad. Pretty meaningless though if we have no forward to score or a creative midfielder
The new holding midfielder(s) would let Iwobi attack more, he had to stay and keep his shape in the back on Saturday. He was excellent, it would be unfair to drop him, so when we get these new bodie(s) in let's move him up the pitch.

Why are people judging the window a success when, first, it is still open and, second, not one of the players we have signed is sure to be a success?

I mean, when Tarkowski and Coady are part of a defence that is keeping seven clean sheets out of 10 and Onana is dominating midfield battles and setting up Dwight McNeil for eight of his 15 Premier League goals in 2022/23, then we can all start to suck each other's appendages.

Until then, punts.

And we could yet sell Gordon for 40m before the window "slam shuts." Now THAT would be a cause to consider things a bit of a success, to be fair...
You're a complete punt.

Why does no one ever listen to me ?
