At the risk of being labelled a xenophobe I hope this isn't the choice the board make.

At the start of the season? Sure, he has solid credentials and bags of experience. Midway through with a nightmare fixture list upcoming? Well, I'd sooner someone comes in who speaks the language and who, ideally, has experience in this league.

Most here are very sanguine about the spectre of relegation. On paper it shouldn't be an issue, but any team that's just been outfought and outplayed at home by the bottom of the table side and has lost to all three promoted teams during an 'easy' start to the season is playing with fire if they put someone in charge who has zero experience of the league.

Doesn't mean pushing the Big Sam button or sending for Tony Pulis, but we no longer have the luxury of taking too big a gamble in my view.

:(
We can only hope this time they don’t let Kenwright or Moshiri pick and we get the right man

Speaks which language?
Our senior squad is made up of French, Colombian (Spanish), English, Brazilian (Portuguese), Turkish, Italian players, and Tom Davies.

English. The majority of the squad speak at least some English.

The majority of the people at finch farm, the majority of the journalists he would need to speak to, the majority of the fans etc.

Unless you think there's another language that a coach could address them as one group which more would understand?

Looks a bit of a nutter, no matter what language he is speaking, he might liven up some of the lazy so and so’s in the team if he comes.

Well let's face it. He's won more Trophies since June than we have managed in near 25 years and we've been down dead ends before so why not try something different.

Good to see the club not turning to the same old tired names that get banded about when clubs are in a relegation fight or near one.

Don't know much about Portuguese football, but that 70% win rate at Benfica over 321 games certainly looks impressive.

In all fairness that's like saying Brendan Rodgers record at Celtic is incredible.

It does help when you are playing national league standard sides most weeks.

He’s also had more clubs that Rory McIlroy has in his bag.

but he looks a bit nuts and isn’t Silva, so for those reasons I’d like to invest.

To be fair Poch used a translator at Saints and Spurs and did pretty well for them

Thought they were awful against river plate the other day.

Smash and grab at the end. Flamengo have the most expensive squad in Brazil (possibly south america?) so im not wowed by the league championship or the cup.

Gallardo has really been the superstar SA Manager....trophy a year since he started managing.
