The bloke is 65, so has huge experience. But he has spent most of his career in Portugal. He has never managed in an English-speaking league. Communication is a huge part of the job, and not having the language skills is a huge drawback. Look at Emery at Arsenal and Moyes at Sociedad.

I think he is an excellent manager - watched the South American champions league-esque final that he won. But I don’t think he is as good as Emery, and look how he has been doing. If it all goes Big Phil Scholari we will be truly fecked.
