suppose, and then u think few years back 8mil was a lot of money for a player, now you get a newly promoted championship player for it

I think you could just about justify that fee simply because he's young and did score a ludicrous amount last year. It wasn't like he was merely prolific, he was scoring pretty much a goal a game. That's impressive for someone who was 21-22 at the time.

correct, i'm sure he will continue to do so aswell, premiership level though?? time will tell

He'll obviously not score as many but he's seemingly a natural goalscorer and he's young enough to have plenty of rungs left to climb on the ladder of self-improvement.

I sound like a lifecoach or something there ffs.

We are struggling to sign Pienaar. Why would a Championship club loan their best striker to us?

Say it did happen and he flopped in the Premier League, Huddersfield have no chance of making the maximum amount of money on him, whereas he scores in the Championship and his value will rocket even more.

its ok, u sound like u know what your talking about with that :), no i wish him all the luck, he may well just be the next superstar. cant see it with everton though unfortunately

Maybe 4 mill with add-ons if he gets to play. Can't see it happening. I am sure Spurs would be in for him if he was up to the mark. We just get the Beckfords. :D

Love to see him in a Everton shirt but 8mil? Although Moyes does have a good record of bring in players from lower leagues. Ok they dont always work (Beckford) but sometimes......... (Cahill)

Are you trying to tell me vic is better than beckford..that lad needed more time..will never forget his goal last day of the season..bit of luck but a quality goal...

no not at all, was just using becks as an example of when Moyes dips into the lower leagues doesnt always work. for the record iwould rather poo in my hands and clap than say nice things about victor.

I think Beckford was never going to PL quality, his conversion rate just wasn't there, and he was too lightweight. Vic certainly doesn't have that problem but unlike Jela i've rarely seen Vic run his socks off, track back and really work the CB's. Although i still remember his performance away at scumfield in the 10/11 season, prob the best i've seen him play in blue.

£8m is'nt actually that bad, considering what other players move for, the only problem is, we dont have a pot to p!ss in, so it may as well be £80m. It would be nice if we could do some sort of deal where we give them £1m upfront, then give them £1.4m a year for the next 5 years
