I think some people let their heart rule their head. I was like that when I was younger. Could never understand my grandad, who'd been watching the blues since the days of Dixie Dean, criticising Everton players, saying they were rubbish or nor good enough. Every Everton player was brilliant in my young eyes. It's only as I've got older that I've watched the game differently and watched players more closely for their abilities and shortcomings.

He’s no different to any other goalkeeper - they all have their weaknesses and erratic moments / dips in form. Overall he’s been fantastic for us…..England’s no 1 who actually likes playing for us and has never looked a move (publicly anyway) ….hes not above match criticism but when it becomes a more general level of criticism I can’t get my head around it….but you can’t please some supporters.

He has to take some blame,I mean he trains with Beto every day. He must be aware that he's poor with his back to goal. To give him the ball that deep when he was marked tightly was risky to say the least.

It is not a "love in" it's just people looking at all the other keepers and seeing that he is one of the best. All keepers have dodgy moments, Pickford has one and suddenly he is "not that great". I just don't understand it.

Pickford is if we are real is better than average. not many agree with Southall. Ive said it i think to you and whoever else. just because southall said it does not mean he is right. no matter how good he was. Same way as i dont agree with you and you dont agree with me or whatever. the forum is all about opinions

same way people say there is better keepers we can get, yet never name someone we can actually get

Any keeper better than Pickford would be impossible to afford and would not come anyway. And, as you say, WHO is that keeper?

I like those videos where our players are asked to give a one word response to other Everton players. Consistently for Pickford the response is he’s mental .

One of the other reasons, besides being ace and our best player, that I like him.

You`re right all keepers have dodgy moments, but Pickford has one most times he comes for a cross and flaps at it.
