Eddie Howe went to Athletico Madrid in his off time as a manager to learn 'the dark arts'. Last season their games had the least 'ball in play' time. They don't like when it's done to them.

I get it but everything is just SO heavily favored to the attacker on penalties. They can do stupid as hell stutter steps, they can almost stop, they can feint etc. The keeper has to keep EXACTLY where he is, not allowed to move at all anywhere. If he does, the attacker gets ANOTHER chance to score the goal. I dunno, just always has seemed so hugely one sided.

Part of the point of a penalty is that it is heavily in favour of the attacking team.

The keeper can move around, jitter and jump as much as they like can't they? Just not forward of the goal line.

At 1 point today Tarks told him to "shut up and get back in goal", they love it the pair of them, Pickford is ranting away most of the time and Tarks has a big grin on his face.
