Stale now, but fair keeper's analysis of VVD collision and Henderson shot from Rob Green

Notice Greens general tone? Non-bias, calm relaxed, informative looking at it the way it is and breaking it down as it actually happened. As opposed to jumping the gun with vile frothing out the mouth ‘aggressive’ ‘intentional’ ‘malicious’ ‘assault’ ‘life time ban’ ‘permanent ban’ ‘disgusting’ ‘career ending’ shouts. Media in this country and the general ‘punditry’ is shocking.

I’m looking forward to all the outrage that comes with the next player who ends up having his season ended as a result of a coming together.

That's kind of my point though, it very much is dragging on. A quick statement saying 'What happened was awful and as a player you never want to be involved in something like that but obviously it wasn't intentional. Anyone saying I meant to do it obviously doesn't know me but they might get to know my lawyers' would have helped I think.I said that Son should publicly acknowledge what happened with Gomes and I think the same here. It's not a matter of actually apologising, just fronting up and not making it look like you've gone into hiding.

It's dragging on in their end. Nothing we put out will stop them going on about it and in fact would give them even more to talk about and drag it out.

just highlights how useless Pickford is, completely miss judges the flight of the ball.

But every cloud n’all that

That's the thing no one is mentioning in all this. It wasn't even a tackle so the intent issue is a nonsense. It was just a terrible piece of keeping from a keeper who is completely shot for confidence. How have no pundits noticed this yet?

Carlo will nip it in the bud on Friday at his Southampton press conference.

It will eventually calm down

You’d hope so mate but they’ll jump on him the minute he says we stand by him.

The pathetic sensationalised media don’t know when to let a story go when it’s an agenda they have in place.

Watch how Ancelotti goes from being one of the most respected managers in the game to ‘cowardly’ and ‘unjust’ for standing by one of his own players and not throwing him under the bus.

of course not Tim, from the moment he had his weetabix in the morning his intentions were clearly to injure the best CB ever to grace this planet.

Not the fact that he’s just an awful keeper

Not useless, just not consistently fabulous. And more fluffs than he should. Hope Carlo can do for his confidence what he has for DCL's

massively disagree, he’s an utterly awful goalkeeper. Great reaction save keeper, but that video shows how far away he his from even being close to being a middle of the road PL keeper.

reading the game is one of the most important parts of a keeper, he has none

That’s what they don’t understand. Pickford is known for coming off his line and being rash, he doesn’t do it intentionally or aggressively to injure a player he just doesn’t have the level headed-ness and calmness.
Its one of the reasons we as fans would like to see him replaced. He’s a loose cannon.

I’d like to think this incident will ultimately lead to him getting his crap together and doing everything he can to completely iron out these imperfections to his game.

I just don’t know how shot his head will be after all of this. It’s okay though if he ends up a mental wreck and tries to take his life at least Chris Sutton and Robbie Savage will be made up.

Tbf, I had a complete rupture of my ACL and I played on it the week after, once the swelling had gone down. I didn't last long till it collapsed again, but when I did it, there was a lot of pain, for about 2 minutes, then it was just a strong ache. Drove home, ice on it, in to work the next day etc. Went to the hospital from work and they just said it was a sprain. Was only by going private that they spotted the rupture on an MRI.

Basically the fact he walked off, doesn't mean it is any less serious.

None of my team mates lost sleep over me being injured though, they're not babies.
They were also relieved. It had been like playing with ten men:)

Don't usually bother with the Echo, but picked one up this morning, to read in the Asda cafe.

They're not even trying to hide their bias anymore...

Jurgen Klopp says he shares his Liverpool players' frustration with Everton as the fall-out from Saturday's Merseyside derby rumbles on.

And the Reds boss criticised both Michael Oliver and David Coote for failing to punish goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (for) his shocking tackle on Virgil van Dijk.
