There's been some shocking challenges in this fixture over the years; I don't remember any getting this much exposure before haha Kopite media.

It all seems very choreographed to me. Almost like a message does the rounds on the agenda they need to be pushing this week. If Liverpool don´t win the league this season, guarantee Danny Murphy will be talking about this incident in May.

The problem is he is only shooting himself in the foot so too speak, he undoes all his own work, it is all well and good saying it hasn't cost us, maybe not in goals or points but from a psychological point of view he'll be causing mental panic throughout the defence which is damaging long term.

That's what I think anyway, his crap form can affect the decisions defenders make during a game.

Goalies are told to make themselves big, close off the space and be brave in them type of 50/50s, he just did exactly that. He was too overzealous with it (mostly down to the fact he is completely absent of any composure) and he’s injured his opponent but these things happen.

The media backlash is purely down to the team and player it happened against.

Their off the ball challenges from Robertson and Mane (as well as him flying into Digne with his studs up in a not too dissimilar fashion to Pickford on Van Dijk) is conveniently glossed over, as well as Van Dijk putting in two needlessly tough challenges through the back of his man in the opening 2 minutes.

The difference in reporting-just pick and twist it the way they want-many all over the place as well

Darren Lewis is a ted of the absolute highest order.

Bloke genuinely does not have a clue what he's on about.

The worst thing is, when questioned on his opinions he has also been known to play the race card. Had it done to a friend of mine who worked with him as a freelancer. Took him to task over a feature idea he'd stolen from my mate which my mate had been pitching out.

Absolute tosser.

It wasn't deliberate, but he looks so calamitous on the goal line it's hard to watch. He made few fantastic saves, but I think VVD incident wan't bother him, but Henderson discarded goal could 'cause it was Pickford mistake. Fortunately for us it ended well...

For starters he can't make his mind up if he supports the RS or Spurs.

Nail on head.
Since the final whistle on saturday we've had...
The official club wanting VAR changed because THEY never got the decision.
Retrospective action taken against pickford because THEY never got the decision.
A petition to remove the person in saturdays VAR because THEY never got the decision.
If the rest of the country didnt know already i hope its filtering through about this two faced hypocritical no shame club.

Van Dijk said: "I don’t think it was a bad challenge at all.

"Unfortunately I touched him, but I would never go in to hurt him or anything like that.

"I had the ball and obviously [with] the wet pitch you slide through and I touched him, but that’s football."

vvd.webp

I am often amazed that nobody in authority, i.e. their employers, appear to call out and correct these so-called football experts or pundits, who by some chance happen to be ex Red players, and constantly use the pronoun "we" when describing the RS. You don't need to be Evertonian to be annoyed by it. Souness was a great player and a dirty player who I would have had in my side anytime. Now he is just a hypocrite.
