I love Nev as much as anyone but I don't want to subscribe to Pickford's emotional journey. The will he won't he become the chosen one. He's a keeper. Good keepers don't make the headlines.

Bin him off and just get a solid 7/10 keeper who doesn't undo our good work.

Nev is a good guy, he is no doubt backing him because he feels it's the right thing to do publicly.

Deep down he probably thinks he is rubbish.

He won't be going anywhere this season. Nobody will be paying the amount of money he is "worth" for a goalie who, best scenario, is out of form.
