He was still shaking his head and tutting when they had the free-kick about five minutes later, which is going from one extreme (not bothered) to another.
I simply don't feel that he has the mentality to really be a top goalkeeper.

I still had hopes for him even during last season but with no real competition in the squad he isn't being kept on his toes and there isn't the option to take him out of the firing line.
His mannerisms and physical reactions to things going wrong have often infuriated people but you can see there's insecurity and all the daft stuff is front. The worrying thing is that one mistake seems to haunt him for the rest of the game and complicates every subsequent decision. He got away with padding that corner back into play near the end of the half 'cos the Brighton players switched off.
