Something has definitely "clicked" with him.
As the team degenerated towards the end of the season , he actually seemed to improve.
Played well again tonight.
Let's hope that he continues in this vein.

I think Carlo is a smart coach regardless of our Topsy turby season.

But he always said Pickford is mentally strong and can pull himself right

From a player I wanted out the door he has changed my mind this season. Looks much more aggressive, focused, concentrated and demanding. Using his head now on crosses by punching. Always a v good shot stopper. Looks more like a proper keeper now. Has suprised me.

For me, the rest and Injurys were the changing point, not the Psychologist that off course he had at the start of the season when people were still moaning more really

The sports psychologist has done absolute wonders.

He is a good keeper that lost his way for a bit. We all lost that bit of confidence in him but lately has been tremendous. For the last half of the season I was not a bit concerned about him. His head has been sorted out and once again is the best English keeper and a top PL keeper. I know some people will always blame him for any goal conceded but that is there problem and not Pickfords.

It’s about the only thing Carlo did get right, the rest was a disappointment and he didn’t even have the fight to stay around and sort the mess out.

He has done well, Pickford does have much more about his game though than Olsen.

I reckon that’s as commanding appearance as I’ve ever seen from Pickford last night.

Made the saves he needed to, excellent distribution with both feet, good decision making on when to come for crosses, and when he did come for them - got a strong hand every time.
