....particularly terrific save from the header but there’s no doubt he’s a top shot stopper. He needs to improve his decision making and cut out the calamitous mistakes. I’m still nervous of him. When i’m not nervous of him i’ll be very happy.
I think this is the thing for Pickford. In golf (or cricket) you will often see fantastic ball strikers but often they are not the guys who are the best players. There's a difference between being able to technically do things well and knowing how to put it all together.
There's a lot of that in Pickford for me. He has fantastic power, spring and reflexes as well as an awful lot of confidence. The best goalkeepers though put it together on a consistent and regular occurrence. Think of Schmeichel, who you'd always fancy to keep United in games, week after week.
Thats the challenge for Pickford. He needs to up his save ratio and be winning us more points. He should be angry to concede.
