I just meant it doesnt matter how much money we get for him, we cant replace him. If we sold him we would start the season with a new CB, God knows how long he would take to settle.

I doubt we will be seeing Jags this side of Christmas and then we got Yobo off to the ANC.

It really would be dreadful business for me.

Lescott, Arteta, Cahill. These players we CAN NOT replace. In terms of talent and what they bring to our team, they are priceless.

I didnt include Jags or the Yak, because they are injured and off the radar.

The others players we have sold, I didnt really mind, they werent first teamers really. Faddy was in and out and AJ was 2nd choice behind The Yak.

Would hate to see us sell a first teamer, smacks of Wigan for me.

People get blinded by the lights of foreign players that look [Poor language removed] hot in Spain or Italy but when they get here they dont cut the mustard. Its the fastest most physical league in the world and Lescott is a top defender within that league.

We've had lots of talk of Moutinho- he looks the bollocks but in reality he is very slight and not very tall. Would he get bullied all over the place in this league? Maybe.

Keep Lescott hes quality, lets build and not demolish.

There comes a point where every player is for sale, given "that" offer. It's up to Moyes whether he sells (thankfully) but you need to get with programme, mate. Selling to improve the team is normal practice. Stop seeing it as a signifier that we're on the ropes. If Joleon is sold, he'll be sold because Moyes thinks his sale will bring a benefit to the club. I don't understand why you can't see that. At this moment, we're not the Merseyside millionaires, and no amount of wishful thinking will change that fact. If we want to improve, it might take selling our best players, and replacing them with players that will be more influential.
 
Lescott is a rock, he plays CB, he plays LB and he scores goals, how much more influential would you like him to be mate???

Do you know, for me, Lescott is our best player, our prize assett. For the reasons I listed above. The only other player I would argue so hard about would be Arteta, but thats because ive got such a massive hardon for him.

For me, with the right money, we could replace nearly every player in our squad. But not Lescott.
