People offer silly money for Lescott, we sell Lescott
People offer a reasonable sum for Lescott, we don't sell Lescott

That's how simple it is.

Lescott or any of our Elite players are not for sale at any price.

Wheres the Ambition mate? To sell a player to 1 of our rivals is something we shouldnt do.

To lose Lescott would lessen the squad. No matter who we bought to replace him.

I say again, the player himself has said he WANTS to stay.

The ambition is from selling a player for more than he's worth, and replacing him with players that add more to the team than is lost.

That's football, lid. Buy low, sell high. It's always been about buying and selling.

Agree.

Lescotts a very useful player, especially in that he can fill in at left back - as Bruce mentioned. But if an offer was received of around £20m+ - I think Moyes would accept. Just like I did, on Football Manager. Worked out well for me.

Moyes has said no one is going anywhere, Lescott himself, is very happy here...don't see him leaving to be honest.

Plus what kind of message does it send out to the likes of Arteta and co that we're selling one of our best players?

Ok, lets play Devils Advocate. You sell Lescott for £20m. Lescott gets a fat weekly wage, hes happy, the club makes £15m on a player, they are happy. Big Bad Bill milks the profit angle for all its worth, for about 3 weeks, he is happy.

We the fans lose a quality player to 1 of our rivals, we aint happy, the rest of the squad wonders why they are still at the club, they aint happy. Clubs that we are bidding for players, see that we have lots of money and stick £5m on top of every transfer, they are happy.

We then bid 50p, a Snickers and a Wagon Wheel for The Mout, Im far from happy.

More Devils Advocate;

Sell Lescott for £20m

Sign Lucas Neil (as cover for Yobo and Jags), Moutinho and Mbia.

An improvement to our starting 11? While also offering more bodies for a more demanding season next year?

I dont think we should sell Lescott - but if there was one player we could cash in on, it would be him.
