Moyes to JL - "you'll play to your best, and if you don't the moment Jags is back you're in the reserves. That being the case book a holiday for next summer!"

4 days before the season starts, that is just disrespectful to the club, manager, fans and other players, who have shown him support.:@

Now I have no problem if somebody wants to double/triple their wages, but when the first bid was rejected he could have put in the request, giving the club a full month to find a replacement. But he has tried to hide behind a wall of silence hoping that he did'nt have to show his true colours. Well his strategy backfired as City started to look at other options, which made him go public - what a tosser! (n)(n)

Agreed...........(y)

Of course, the board are ultimately to blame. But realistically nobody ever expected that shower to demonstrate any ambition and give Moyes a war chest. The manager now has to carry this through to the bitter end and face down City and Lescott as O'Neill did with Liverpool and Barry last season. If he doesn't we're going to be handed a double slap in the face: selling a core team player to a rival and knowing we have a manager who's less than resolute in what he says. I know that we're all supposed to assume what people say isn't always what they mean in football, but Moyes has taken this one to extremes. Let's put it this way, if O'Neill had allowed Barry to go to Liverpool last season he'd have rightly been pilloried as a man of straw by us and every other football club supporter.

Everton don't have a war chest. But I'll say one thing. Kirby or not, this should be the last summer that this buying late, little money should go on.

I am a Kenwright supporter, but for me, Everton are more important and if he has to go to make Everton a better team (not selling out to the first person who pops their head round the corner), then so be it.

Another farce of a summer like this and I am sure that Moyes will walk and I'll join almost any anti kenwright group going.

at least he hasn't put a transfer request in the last day of the transfer window a la Rooney. We have 3 weeks to replace him and get Riquelme in.

sorted

He can do what ever he want, even sit around does nothing, but he ain't going to join another club this summer, I did rather keep him here in Liverpool than letting him going to City.

I'm not angry at Lescott either. I am however very disappointed that he doesn't want to play for Everton anymore. I'm even more disappointed that this is hanging over us just 4 days before the season starts. If City don't get their man then they only have themselves to blame for taking so long and offering sums of money we were never going to accept. I think it's too late now because we have just 4 days to find a replacement!

The Transfer window doesn't close for another 3 weeks.
