Johnny Heitinga - You blew it son.

Anyone will tell you that that kind of cross is a complete nightmare for whoever tries to defend it, especially if the keeper doesn't talk to you. Why did he leave the line if he wasn't sure Heitinga was going to leave the ball? This, together with his some-times weak dealing with crosses, is Howard's biggest fault. He's just not commanding enough. If you go for the ball you make damn sure everyone around you knows who's going to get it.

I still think we were massively unlucky not to get a win out of that crap game. Should've had a penalty, the linesman has to be directly in sight of that block and there's no way Gosling can block it with any other part of his body than his hand, abyssmal reading of the game. Saha should've scored at least once from either the shot at the upright or his one on one when he decides to shoot it from waaaaay out when he looks through on goal.

Shocking really, but they're on a massive run of form, how they created nothing that felt really dangerous but manages to score two. And all the more shocking how commentators and Geordies can believe that they did what they needed to win that game, or as in some cases that they dominated us..

Dear Lord.

Evertonians can be the most dense supporters on the planet. What an embarrassment.

So players aren't allowed to have bad form? Let's ship 'em out? I thought more people in Europe understood football but I stand corrrected.

So Heitinga's on a bad run of form and all of a sudden, he's ****e? Really?

You couldn't make this up.

Now I'm waiting for Coleman, Baines, or any other player have a bad run of form (it happens to all of them at some point in their career) so I can eagerly trawl through threads like this saying "Coleman Out !!!" or "Baines has lost it !!!"

Get it through your skulls !!! PLAYERS HAVE BAD FORM FROM TIME TO TIME !!!!

You look up "Evertonian" in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of someone in blue pointing at someone.

Make it stop. PLEASE JUST MAKE IT STOP !!!

Top post.

It seems nothing is right about our club right now there are those who just feel on a daily basis to blame somebody for something and then pick a whipping boy for their frustrations.

Any slight poor decision in a game and he's terrible. If Moyes parked crooked in his space at finch farm they would be calling for blood.

Its like you say it's embarassing

Bill has just dispatched this this thing to where it belongs.

In the Kneejerk Section.

Ooooooo can we have a kneejerk section?

Love that idea. MODS!!!!!!!!

I personally don't think Johnny's that bad. In fact the players we should all be questioning are Hibbert, Jagielka and Howard. Granted Taylor's goal was a complete one-off. But how many more goals are we going to concede from that position this position season? Hibbert or Jagielka should be closing that down, not allowing any shots off from there. Because quite obviously the opposition have sussed Howard out!

I don't really feel the need to throw him under the bus, he's a fine player, but the back line was much better when Distin came in. It's as simple as that.

In his last three matches, matches where he has played in his "proper position", the World Cup finalist has:

1). Given away a penalty for a stupid and reckless tackle.
2). Decided to mark a player that was already being marked, leaving his strike partner completely open to a tap in.
3). Scored an own goal.

We've lost these 3 games; his awful defending coupled with his high wages and intolerable attitude means that he should be first to go in the window, just like we were all saying this time last year.

Honestly lady and gents, I don't see how one can defend Heitinga. Let's look again at his last 3 matches and what Summerskin has listed here. It's true. After the first two games I was surprised to see him starting against Newcastle. After the OG I said to myself that it could be percieved as a defensive team error. However his play after that was poor as well. He's really not worth what we're paying. If I didn't think that the money would go immediately to the bank I would sell him ASAP in January.

So when distin plays 3 bad games shall we sell him too? What about jags? Or Baines even?

I think people were defending him as in the sense that a good player is having some bad games. Dropped to the bench maybe yes but to sell after a bad run of games really? In other its too soon a kneejerk to sell a generally good player.

It was only yesterday when people were lambasting moyes for leaving him on the bench and not giving him ago.

The minute he opened his mouth to say he was slighty unhappy and then went onto say he would leave thats when peoples opinions changed and now he is quickly becoming the player to pick on after a few bad games.

I'm sorry but if Howard shouts then Heitinga pulls out and we clear the ball. Simple.

People make mistakes, Heitingas a good guy,

People just looking for a scapegoat.

Literally nobody was good against Newcastle but he scored an og so he's an easy target.

They were all sh*te. Sell the lot of them!!!!

Get Bakayoko on.

I've never been a fan of Heitinga. Just can't take to him. But you can't just blame him for that game! Howard did he shout or not?
The whole team was dire! Even Newcastle were crap! The game was one of the worst iv watched!

Am sure everyone will love him again if he shoulder barges someone at a pen or pumps fists to the crowd!

Bad Form? When was the last time Johnny had any good form? A one off decent game last week against United doesnt count, he was at fault for the goal

If he'd been playing brilliantly and then had a one off bad game in which he scored an own goal id understand the 'knee-jerk' shouts, but thats not what this is about at all

He's begged to be played in his proper position and hes had his chance and blown it

And anyone who wants to whip out the 'hes played in a World cup final' line....Djimi Traore played in a Champions League final, end of

I am most of the time a glass is half full type guy but I don't live in the land of sugar plum fairies either.

Summerskin and yourself echos what I have seen from him too. This isn't a popularity contest he can either warrant playing the position or not it's not to dense to feel this way when we are one point from the bottom three and need the kind of desire to dig ourselves out of this recurring early hole. Moyes pretty much vouched for this. I agree many were at fault against the Magpies and they really looked ready for the taking. Howard may have more confidence in him than I do and elected not to shout and I agree the cross was perhaps a tough one to handle and when you think about it just a moment anybody can make a mistake but when Distin came on our defense didn't look shakey. I'm in total agreement about that and I'm sure he(Heity) is the nicest guy in public and a great ambassodor for the club but lets say he hasn't by any means gelled into our back four.

In his defense I will say he seems to enjoy his game time in midfield for us over the past year or so.

In conclusion, I will be very surprised if you see him in the back four and Neville playing midfield at the same time ever again.

Sorry mate, im not having that, Heitinga isnt a good player in my opinion, i also think Coleman is a very limited as well.

To befair Baines is prob the best player in the world though.

He hasn't had a run of good form because he's never played in his natural position for a decent length of time. Remember when people were calling Distin badly gash when he first came here ? Heitinga's had two and a half games in a row in his proper position, and people are saying his Everton career his over.

Total kneejerk crap in this thread.

For me the problem is that Heitinga isn't the best player in any position and we cant justify paying top wages to a squad player. If anyone was to be sold it should be him and Billy too as he has had ample time to settle and Moyes must either play him or sell him to raise funds for someone he will.
