Some of the talk on here of how Stones played for us is baffling. Yes he made some mistakes but he was top draw imo. As for the original question, no way ever. He literally pooed his pants at Anfield and walked off the pitch when his team mates were taking a battering.

I did and still do believe that this lad is wasted at centre half, he would make a great DM in my opinion, he has the technique and passing range and the ability to do it and he wouldn't be last line of defence.

I am not sure how City plan to get rid of him with his huge wage which nobody else will be prepared to match, but they must know he's no long-term solution for them. Plus they'd want about 30m for him, and there is much, much better out there for the price. Brands' job is to find the right player to fix our leaky defence.
