As soon as MOTD came out about him being a "guardiola type player" he started to take more risks coming out and used goodison as a platform for his audtion.
Especially the games that were on sky.
Anyone remember when he shushed the gwladys, when they started shouting at him for keeping the ball too long.

If its true that city are looking to sell then I suspect it's because they've got an FFP problem, otherwise it makes no sense. He's been very unlucky this season, he was excellent in the early stages but got injured and didn't come back quite the same and lost his place to Kompany.

I'd love to see a centre back pairing of Stones and somebody like Koulibaly of Napoli for us, but I'm aware of how much of a pipe dream that is.

Just like to say toffee that I think your post is spot on. I'm a City fan, I watch them home & away and I would say at the time he tore his hamstring at Leicster he was having a superb season and had been one of our standout players. Anybody who is asked to play the way Pep demands from the back is going to make the odd mistake, and Stones is no different to any of the other City players in that respect, yes even Kompany! I don't see any worth in this story and would be gutted to see him leave. All the best.
