I don't understand why this thread has been moved to the world football section when the topic of conversation has been around whether or not we should buy him back. 7 pages in a few hours would suggest that it's a popular discussion and we wouldn't put any other transfer target in he world forum would we?

I'd have him back in an instant provided it was at the right price (not above £40m) and we had a new manager who would play a style of football suited to his game.

Tubby Ashley's transfer in particular. He's costing this club plenty. Rumour has it that there's been a massive blow-out on the Finch Farm budget allocated toward providing full English breakfasts...

It's just pyar small time. Selling young talent and replacing with 30 year olds.

Barkley for Rooney. Stones for Williams.

Sell Lescott, sign 32+(?) Distin - ok, that worked out alright but it's rare. In fact it's probably the only time it's worked out for us, that I can think of, yet we keep on doing it.

I think one of the stipulations for any transfer at Everton is that the player brought in is preferably 'more mature' (ie old) and thus looks a more realistic character when he dresses up as Blue Santa.
Say what you like about our performances on the pitch but you cannot deny we put on a super Blue Chrimbo

Amazing, another Everton first.

Whens the (Santa) parade?

I'm informed a Board meeting was held this week. Many on here jumped to the conclusion it was regarding BFS's future, but I reckon it was to do with the much more pressing matter of confirming the date for this year's parade.

I was fewmin when we signed Distin. Got that wrong. Same with Barry really.

But yeah you are right.

He's far better than what we have currently but he will always have a mistake or two in him.

tbh I don't think he would even consider coming back and I don't think we would be willing to pay what they would be looking for

By the way the amount of evertonians who can't wait to act all tribal and slate a former player off the back of a story in the sun really doesn't do us any favours
I'm of opinion there is a lot of pent up anger and frustration in many Evertonians' hearts. I am a little nonplussed as to why this should be. Take this season for example; we do the rare double over Stoke City and people still complain.

I'm not sure what I find the most incredulous. The fact that some of you think we would sell him based on a report in The Sun, or that some of you think he isn't good enough for you.
