On what would have been his 70th birthday, what is your favourite, or what you consider to be his best, song. Whether it be as a solo artist or with the Beatles

Mine would be " Across the Universe" from the Let it Be album

Ballad - In my life
Rock - And your bird can sing
Political - Working class hero.

Tomorrow never knows what my choice will be tomorrow

...John Lennon Rock'n'Roll

He had the perfect voice to nail those songs. (y)

Imagine, because it made him shitloads of cash and exists only to take the piss out of those who still think it has some kind of humanitarian message behind it.

RIP John you crafty legend.

By which we measure our pain...

Always loved this since I was a kid.

I remember reading a couple of weeks ago Mark Chapman was denied parole again.

He said he did it to be famous, but all he did was take another persons life. [Poor language removed].

IMPOSSIBLE for me to pick a favourite I'm afraid.
Some great ones spring to mind though....

Solo stuff; Instant Karma, Jealous Guy, Working Class Hero, How Do You Sleep.

Beatles stuff: Hide Your Love Away, Help, Norwegian Wood, Every Little Thing.

Agree completely. Still gives me butterflies when I hear it.

Think this famous set from Annie Leibovitz was taken on the day (or day before) he died.
