We do need to BUY an american player after Tim leaves. That's how we'll get more support in USA LOL
Miazga from Chelsea or Pulisic from BVB!
 
Far superior shot stopper to Howard but his lack of presence, inability to command his box and ropey distribution means he will not be a long term no 1.
 

Think Robles has got better. Still caught in 2 minds to come for crosses but at least he does so relieves pressure on our unable to head the ball defenders. Shot stopping is quite good too. I feel we could get a better keeper but wouldn't be too upset if he is in goal next season because he is getting more experience and could still improve.

His distribution is MILES better than Howards. Its a myth that his distribution is bad, its actually pretty good. I think he commands his box fairly well. He talks to the defenders at least. Well whistles at them anyway....
 
Joel has just re-stated his support for Martinez. He has just got the No. 1 shirt and he is coming out with whoppers like that. How can you expect the new manager to have confidence in your judgement when you make statements like that. Keep your head down son and leave the thinking the others.

He kicks way too hard, his kicks always seem to fly to the opposition.
 

just me who thinks howard shot stopping was class and he made some class saves, bit dodgy near the end, but howard made the saves you wouldnt expect him to make robles doesnt do that has to improve to be as good as howard was. Anyone who forgets howards last season will remember how good a goalkeeper he has been for us
 
Howard, suffers like Moyes from a bad end to his time here and people remembering that, he won't get the credit for the earlier spell he had. I wouldn't have had Robles anywhere near the 1st team last season, but he has surprised me recently, he has been a solid goalkeeper. I would prefer a Butland, Schmeichel, Begovic as a No1 but Robles is still young enough to improve and I am willing to give him the chance to make the No1 his if we don't get any of the named ones.

Yes and let in loads you expect him to save ...well he's gone now thank god.

Well RM brought him here so is it a sense of gratitude or leaning as you suggest. Well if Joel feels that way he can join RM at the exit door and follow him ti his new club. Need a goal keeper anyway.
