Joel Robles

Much as there might be a clamour for Howard to be replaced. Robles is NOT the answer. Clutching at straws hoping he is I think. The likes of Butland, or Forster, would transform our defence and give us another 10/12 points a season. Top priority for our team in my opinion.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

BUTLAND, FORSTER BLAH BLAH BLAH

Although i think both are very good keepers, no one would of mentioned them 12 months ago!

For me - the goal was definitely the keepers fault.
Can you find me a keeper with arms made out of elastic look where that header is flicked on at the edge of the penalty area look at the picture of the position of them all what's Capt Jags organising ? nothing the man marking from our players is pathetic!
also a player on the post would have headed it away are you suggesting our keeper who ever it his takes a position on the back post as the header was a flue he was laughing as he never intended it to go off on that angle it was supposed to be a basic header flicked on towards the pen area not the back post!

Completely disagree. I made this! Note the four players marking thin air.

That really is schoolboy defending v the team in the league who score most of their goals from set pieces capt jags is really organising things -NOT -well there Olson is heading that flick 2 yards outside the corner of the penalty area - who is our defensive coach he needs to see this picture its pathetic!
It was a lucky flick on in the sense he never meant it to loop into the goal directly no one is stood in front of him either?????, but we have two men in Lukaku and McCarthy in no mans land! also no one on the back post as I stated Schoolboy errors!

well it is a bit weird, but Howard has been slaughtered for goals where he's been less at fault.
I think the difference is that Howard has been responsible for a lot of the goals we've conceded and there was a clear pattern emerging. Robles has performed well all season and wasn't to blame for the 1 goal he's conceded in the last 4 games.

He watches the ball loop up and over, if he attacks the ball he gets there first. I've been very pro-Robles but on this occasion he was to blame.

Agreed.

Lloris found himself in a somewhat similiar situation yesterday but miraculously got a hand to the ball a split second before an incoming City player was presented with a free header into the net.
No way Loris croos was a great punch but it was a totally different cross more direct cross not a looped fluky header!

No, it was a different thing but with the same requirement.....Lloris was not positioned well for the cross but was able to change his feet and intervene.

Joel wasn't able to react to the loop.....no big criticism of him, he isn't as capable a goalie as Lloris.

Now I come to think if it, didn't Foster manage to tip a deflected shot from Lennon which was looping into the net?

A really top goalkeeoer would save us loads of points.

The ball was crossed in hard not looped to the back post it was in a central position a great punch I admit , but totally different to Robles looped cross look at UNT Degea you could blame him for both their goals conceded v sunderland!
Robles lets 1 in 4 games your being a bit harsh!

Why do I bother

I never said it was the "same" type of cross.

But the situation was similiar insofar as it took the goalkeeper to change his feet in order to save it.

Lloris did that......Joel didn't.

And Foster did it up the other end to prevent a certain goal.

Why do I bother in bold how can you compare if in bold was different???????????
how fast could Joel have moved to that ball?
Look at the picture of the poitions of our players and you blame the keeper you're a bit harsh!
