Not much to do or not, confident and assured, rubbed through on the defenders who look like they actually trusted, absolutely has to start regardless if Howard is fit

The defence second-guess themselves less.

I didn't think we'd concede due to a calamity from the 'keeper tonight; I only thought us not putting the game to bed would come back to bite us with a wonder strike or a lapse in concentration from the defence.

That nearly happened with Funes Mori, but Robles didn't put a foot wrong and the whole side looked more coherent from back to front because we had him there.

If that's the last time we see Howard in an Everton shirt, that can only be a good thing. Is Robles the long term answer? No, not for me, as I think better 'keepers are out there. But he's a lot, lot more of a better option than Howard for now.

i'd be very happy for him to be our number 2 for a long time

I know that Newcastle team weren't great but it was pretty obvious that our back line weren't playing right on top of the keeper. He mixed up his distribution with a good few long balls. Hopefully Martinez sticks with him.

Should play every game now till the end of the season. Find out then if we need a number 2 or number 1 keeper in the summer.

One things for sure, if Martinez puts Howard back in then he is either:

A) A coward

B) Deluded

C) A phenomenal tit

I'm hoping that the decision wasn't 100% forced upon him by an injury and was already on the agenda!
