Its just a shame that the defenders who played so well tonight and gave our keeper the support he needs and should have every game but have failed to do so nearly all season. If nothing else Joel should be given this chance just to give everyone some breathing space as it was nice to see people supporting our keeper again.

It's a two way street, maybe the defenders needed the comfort of knowing there's a competent keeper behind them

I can not see RM playing Robles in the Prem for some reason that baffles most posters?

He has played very well this season when called upon and deserves more playing time. Our defense looked much more composed than in some of the recent league matches. I don't know if this is true or not, but it felt like we didn't play out of the back as much and put our defenders under so much pressure from the get go.

Still rooted to his line for crossed balls, that's in comparison to Howard though and understandable due to lack of game time. With time that confidence to leave his line will grow.

There is absolutely no doubt that we looked far, far more comfortable at the back with him playing than at any time with Tim this season, or last.

We have nothing to lose by playing this guy for the rest of the league season, Howard is almost worth a goal a game to the opposition.
