Genuine question: wasn't that quote from RM made *before* the game? It's still a bad decision to me but I don't think that comment ignores what he did in the game simply because the quote was in pre-match. Maybe I'm wrong but when I read it on the night (after the game) it sounded like the quote came from pre-game and Robles great performance made the quote seem worse in hindsight (although granted it was bad to begin with).

Pretty sure it was post match mate. Theres an article about it in the Echo by Neil Jones who says the press were all surprised he came out and said it and he says it was mentioned when the Norwich team were leaving.

Can't remember how his replacement did tbh but Mignolet got better at his job on return. So yes. Unfortunately Brendan didn't get any better so he got sacked. Life lesson in there somewhere.

From what he's done this season i really rate him.seems to get across the goal and into position so quickly.makes me feel so much safer than howard.he needs a proper run of games though to see if he can perform consistently. Hope it happens.
