He made 2 or 3 quality saves which kept us in the game. Looked confident as the game went on, expected him to come for more crosses but I'm only basing that on the his earlier appearances where he seemed to come and try to punch everything out. Made a mess of it early on in the game when he committed to punch it clear from a corner but he didn't let that affect him. Distribution was 100% better than that of Howard's, always looking to get it forward early and put us on the front foot.

Despite what I think of Howard as a player, it was nice to see him come and congratulate Joel at the end after the shootout, looked made up for him.

A good performance overall, refreshing to see a bit more confidence when the ball comes in to the box. Has to start the next game and get his chance now.
 
But lads it's always the keeper fault, you all blame the keeper normally like Matic goal for instance. Screamers are still goals..
Ok Doug how about his saves as we are not use to seeing many and the way he came out for the ball, his big smile and laughter at the end throwing his top into the Gladwys st - I told him to throw it to you did he sign it for you?lol
