All he had to do is flick out a hand, add it to the pile of points he costStill hold him for responsible for that last minute goal on his return at Stamford Bridge.
Will let me Dad know

I stated if he was MOTM tonight he would get dropped- RM may lose his job with decisions like this!Joeltastic,or whistling Rufus tonight, whatever, keep him in between the sticks Martinez eh?
in what way did he 'keep us in the cup'?the mind boggles. he's kept us in the cup tonight, howard hasn't made a contribution like that in 2 years.

He stopped a couple of shots on his line that Howard could have dealt with, and was only stopped from blowing our chances in the shootout by Norwich's inability to watch last years shoot out with West Ham.
Joel can't do penalties, he dive well before the ball is struck. Against West am they ended up just waiting until he was out of the way, then rolled it in the other side. Tonight we were only saved be the fact Hooligan saw him diving one way, then still proceeded to kick it to that side for some reason, that and the other melt ballooned it over the top.
Joel wasn't terrible, he made some good saves, in fact he made a couple of pretty damn decent ones as well, but he's not the Second Coming of Christ no matter how much you all hate Howard. Howard makes similar saves every week but gets persecuted for his failings in a way that Joel doesn't.
Sorry if you all think this is a bit harsh, especially tonight having just scraped through on pens against Norwich (and he DID play well), but its the truth.
