I am not directly comparing the two but Big Nev was the same age as Joel by the time he nailed down the starters spot permanently.

Hopefully Steve Walsh can see what any fair minded fan can.... of the 3 keepers we have had over the last year, he is the best by far. Then he needs to learn the Dutch for "bin your crap mate"

And he is only going to get better with age and games.

Bet Big Nev will say the same too.

That ball up top to Mirallas was unbelievable watching it back. It was a bit lucky to some degree but it was drilled and did make it very hard for the defenders to cut out

Wasn't happy with him for the goal in the Derby (from original bobbling shot). Although I haven't watched it back yet to be fair. Too painful.
But of the two keepers we currently have, I'd just favour him. Not much in it though. Both just standard keepers. Ok ish.

Joel made everythink look easy yesterday, the sort of things Stek makes look extremely difficult.

He definately deserved to be in goal until we sign a boss keeper.

Impressive yesterday, in total control. Would like to see him against a team with more of a threat than Slimani though

Didnt have much to do,but took crosses/catches quite well,made the Slimani header look easy,so many probably would have pattered that down and dropped on it,think even koeman was a bit more happy about him the way he spoke of him after the game as well as though he might stay as keeper friday,still not a number 1 for me and still want a new keeper,but feeling a touch more confident with him

Robles isn't a great keeper but he is better than stek,not by much but better.
