Admittedly, Howard the coward would've watched that deflected shot fly in. Good save.
And if someone had suggested signing Huth,Morgan or both pre-season they'd have been laughed off the forum.Yes, we don't have many aggressive players who can head a ball. It's a big weakness for us.
Another good game from Robles.
Some people simply believe their eyes. Every week, he plays well and yet there are some who want to spunk money
on some foreign goalie who might or might not be much good.
If we can get De Gea or Lloris then great otherwise we have a keeper who is better than most and is getting better.
I'm not convinced personally. He's obviously a good shot stopper but so was Howard before age caught up with him, and I was never totally convinced by him either.Another good game from Robles.

and his distribution was absolutely atrocious.
No it was'nt. He scewed up one long delivery nad bear in mind that tahnks to Stones and co. he kicks more often than any other Premier League keeper.
As for those who despite the evidence want him out...
Not sure about "never" but I'd agree he shouldn't be #1 for us, but I would have him as #1 instead of Howard
Again, I think neither is the answer but Joel is the better option of the two IMO
I don't think he'll be our 1st choice keeper next season, but I'd happily give it to him between now and the end of this season
I've said it before, asking "Joel or Howard" is similar to asking "What would you rather drink, dirty dish water or battery acid?"
Joel is better than Howard and, in a normal team with a competent first choice keeper, he'd be decent back up. He wouldn't be my first choice in other scenario's than this one, but he's had some good outings this season and I believe he should be rewarded with the starters jersey
I don't think he was really to blame for that last night
Did well enough at times
Let's face it, we need a new 1st choice keeper, but until we find him I'm happy for Robles to play over Howard
He should be in for the rest of the season now IMO, and then we can access it at the end of the season
You must seriously have been watching a different game.No it was'nt. He scewed up one long delivery nad bear in mind that tahnks to Stones and co. he kicks more often than any other Premier League keeper.

I think he's done really well this season. Hope he stays in the team next year with a back up coming in.

Speaking of saying things 'despite the evidence', why don't you take a look at the following link.

He had a pass completion rate of 25%.TWENTY FIVE PERCENT. Three quarters of his passes failed to find one of our players. If you don't believe that's atrocious, you have incredibly low expectations of a professional footballer.
