Joel Robles

If you leave their main threat in the air free to flick a looped ball over inside the far post then it's not the keepers fault - Timmy would not have moved for that Robles did try to scramble over, poor poor defending from a set piece- one corner conceded a goal against!
Why we have no player on the back post is another mystery too!

And that's the top and bottom of it again isn't it mate, a simple thing like sticking a man on the post and they don't score. 14 minutes in and you just know an already difficult game has become impossible all down to our own defensive incompetence.

Not his fault, not sure if anyone is saying it was, fault was the player who crossed the ball for the corner that led to the goal, no one tracked him, attack should of been stopped there.
The lead up to the corner was Colemans fault , but it came so crazy whe it hit him on the back and went out for a corner , but Coleman prior to that thought it was going out for a goal kick, and let it go over his head - just not our day again at home RM cannot see how to make a correct sub either!
If any one thinks Tim would have saved that goal from a corner his worse attribute the they really are out of touch!

4 games in and I still have no idea if hes any good.

Was pretty bad with the goal today, jammy as hell and there really should have been a man on the post, which ironically, is normally Baines @davek, but other than that he had naff all to do, just like the previous 3 games, which to me is a plus, the defence seems much better with him behind it.

Baines lost his place because he's not been as good as Oviedo. He should remain benched, with Stones and Howard.

Last time Joel had anything to do we lost to City in the Cup match.

Today he sat and had a tub of popcorn watching that ball slowly sail over. You know what would have saved today's goal? A starjump.

We got nothing in the goal keeper department.

Meh. I hate putting defenders on the posts at set pieces. Sure, you sometimes have something happening like today, but most of the time all you've done is pull two defenders away from marking attackers. If you're marking man for man on corners (which is what we usually do), you can't afford to put players on the posts.
