There is no way Howard can get back in now surely? Robles has shown he commands the box better and seems to have the confidence of the defence.
I feel sorry for Howard because he had a great career and a legacy at Everton but it has been spoilt by his recent performances and Martinez' insistence on playing him, but now is the time for someone new and hopefully that is Robles.

I think Howard is a capable keeper and I don't believe he deserves the hate he gets. I get seriously angry when our own supporters yell derisive things at him on the pitch. However, there's no way Robles should be dropped after 3 straight 3-0 wins. Robles hasn't been asked to do a lot in those wins but it doesn't really matter. The fact is that the team is confident and playing really good defensively. You simply don't change your goalkeeper when you're on that kind of run.

Like in Bull Durham, you have to respect the streak. If you think you're winning because your getting laid or wearing women's underwear then you are. Right now Robles is Everton's pair of lacy panties with garters. The rose goes in front, big guy.

Everyone seems to be agreed that Joel is our best keeper at the moment and we all want to see him in goal for the rest of the season.

But based on what we've seen his season... Is he good enough to be our keeper long term? What are his weaknesses?

Let's see him on a run into the team to access him - Robles should have been in the team an age ago if no good then we buy in the summer, but he may save us millions!

I like the look of a big, tall commanding keeper. Needs to get that terrified look off his face though. Getting better at that of late I'll give him that. A bit of mongrel wouldn't go lost.

I'd rather he had the terrified look through his genes, than us having it through him playing badly.

Which hopefully he won't do - seems decisive and calm, most of the time. Playing well, should retain his place on this form.

I don't think Howard is capable anymore.He just doesn't have the presence anymore.He scares the life out of me so our defence probably feel similar.he's been a decent servant for us,he has never been a great keeper,just average and deserves no abuse but he needs to realise he just aint good enough anymore.Robles makes me feel so much better and has a presence.

We all see that mate. Only one man makes that decision though and he is mystifying us. Here's hoping we get to see him until the end of season to make a decision on him. I think he is a keeper (as in stay at club) next season.
