Some had turned against him when he was sacked I can't really remember my feelings at the time .
One thing in hindsight I wish we had given him more time because he was a hell of a lot better than what was to follow.
I do remember what Davek has said about some sort of fued with the echo.
All that said Joe and Colin Harvey are greats in my eyes and gave me the best years of my football supporting life

Wasn't McNulty something to do with it?

Thus him garnering the nickname Filthy McNasty.
 
Been lucky enough to meet Joe a couple of times. The first I was totally starstruck and hardly able to speak. The 2nd time we had a chat for a few minutes.

One of my heroes and a very classy guy
Spent 2 days drinking with him an Howard while on my brother stag a while back.

Howard gave me one of his Davidoff cigars...I was in absolute Dreamland those couples of days.
