I loved the marquee, why did they stop it?

I think a few dodgy Evertonians too many started abusing the "drink as much as you want" alcohol policy. The seats were half decent (always front of the middle tier of the main stand in my experience), the food was more than okay and the booze flowed for two hours I think before kick off, half time and then 'til 6pm after. I can't remember the exact price of the tickets but they were fairly cheap and easily accounted for by the booze you can put down your neck.

Manys the happy day I used to stagger out of there into town for a night that all too often seen me half asleep in some pub by 10 o clock!

Yes sorry I know that was the proper reason! I'm just harping back to manys a happy day in the past.

Went to it once with a mate and we had about £20 on us to beat Newcastle 4-1 or something liek that. Anyway we duly went 4-1 up with about 20/30 minutes still to go but with a tonne of complimentary drinks inside of us, my mate and I spent the remainder of the match cheering every Everton miss and dull wasted bit of possession!
