That fact isn't as impressive as it is at first glance when you consider he has been playing for a team which spends most the game attacking and the opposition are often more interested in parking the bus than getting forward.

If he had kept that many cleans sheets for a Bobby Martinez or Brendan Rodgers side then it would really be sommat to behold :)

City have tried and expensively failed to land a decent centre half for years.. he's hardly been playing behind Paulo Maldini and Bobby Moore the last few years has he?

So what an absolute shithouse Guardiola has become, not only will Hart become the bad guy if he asks for a transfer, Hart will also lose any part of his transfer fee, pretty cheap from the richest football s 'll club on earth.

Can you please tell me what he's actually gone and said?

He prefers to go abroad, that to me makes us appear to be second or third choice. IMO he is in no position to choose and if he wants to resurrect his England career its better done in this country

FFS, Stekky??? Pack it in Mikey, you're better than that

So Koemans first act here was to sign Stek........................I think he knows what he's doing. I basically believe that if the boss really wants Hart he'll get him but I don't think he'll accept strings being attached

Sky Sources stated they believe Hart would be open to a move abroad but Hart himself hasn't said a thing.

I just think it's a bit rum to be calling for Stekky's head mate

No problem with people wanting Joe Hart here, but people are acting like any other opinion makes you some kind of tit

Let's be honest, if Stekky is good enough to be the full time #1, do we even need Hart and could we spend the money that would go to him more productively elsewhere?

It's a reasonable stance IMO. Doesn't mean it's right, but then we'd all like a crystal ball wouldn't we?

People are coming in here and tearing Stekky down and mocking those who are prepared to give him a chance, not unlike entitled tosspots IMO

That's a massive assumption based on one match. I'm not for one minute suggesting Stekelenburg is gash, but I do think he was brought in as experienced backup for a new No.1 as Koeman doesn't rate Robles.

Well my thought is that if Stekky isn't the best choice for #1 it will quickly become apparent and Hart will slide straight in after a couple of games

If Stekky is good enough to be #1, then we've essentially paid 30 Million for a back up keeper though, hence why it's a gamble

This is why I'd personally prefer a loan over buying him straight out

That being said, Stekky might have just had a good few weeks, you never know

This football management lark can be difficult

Hmmm don't know about that pal, didn't I ever tell you about the time I took Tranmere to the summit of European greatness by winning the Champions League on back to back occasions on football manager?

No messing around, go all out and get him, give him what he wants. doesn't even have to move house if hes settled with kids etc which could be a major plus for us. what a signing he would be

Totally agree with this, Stekelenburg played well against spurs but people have to remember that this was the man who couldn't get a game at Fulham and Southampton. Hardly a statement of intent him being our new number 1.

Now you could say he might have raised his game being here but if that's true then shouldn't the same be true of Hart, afterall he his fighting for his football future.
